The Baggies are looking at Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis but are likely to meet firm resistance from Posh manager Darren Ferguson.

Albion manager Tony Mowbray is mulling over whether to hijack Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson’s £4miilion move to Stoke.

Villa will move for Liverpool midfielder Jermaine Pennant if they fail to land Blackburn winger David Bentley.

The Blues are ready to hijack Charlton striker Marcus Bent’s £1million move to Cardiff.

Blues boss Alex McLeish is likely to again move for defender Bobo Balde with the defender close to reaching an agreement on terminating his contract at Celtic.
