WOLVES
The club have denied they are interested in Bristol City midfielder Marvin Eliott – but are likely to move for another midfielder when wantaway Seyi Olofinjana has moved on.
ALBION
Hull baulked at Bolton’s £3million asking price for Bolton defender Abdoulaye Meite – but that price range is within Baggies boss Tony Mowbray’s budget.
Mowbray is also looking at a season-long loan move for West Ham defender James Collins when he returns from a cruciate knee injury.
VILLA
Villa have been linked with a three-way fight with Arsenal and Tottenham for Real Madrid’s Spain midfielder Ruben de la Red.
Villa manager Martin O’Neill has also been linked with Sheffield Wednesday’s fit-again defender Frankie Simek.
WALSALL
Former Saddlers striker Darren Byfield is still without a club – increasing the likelihood that he could end back on terms at the Banks’s Stadium.
BLUES
Wigan midfielder Kevin Kilbane is another possible makeweight that could be used in the Latics’ move for Blues midfielder Olivier Kapo.
Blackburn manager Paul Ince hopes to land Blues midfielder Sebastian Larsson as a £4.5m replacement for winger David Bentley.
