WOLVES

Wolves are holding out for the full £3million asking price from Hull for transfer listed midfielder Seyi Olofinjana.

Wolves have been linked with a move for Sunderland striker Michael Chopra.

ALBION

The Baggies have been linked with a £3million move for Bolton defender Abdoulaye Meite.

Albion manager Tony Mowbray is likely to rush through a move for Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi – as he is resigned to losing Kevin Phillips to Birmingham.

VILLA

LIverpool defender Steve Finnan is likely to used as a makeweight in the club’s bid for Villa skipper Gareth Barry – with midfielder Danny Guthrie another option.

Arsenal defender and Villa target Justin Hoyte has effectively ruled out a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

WALSALL

There is still the possibility that former Saddlers striker and free agent Darren Byfield could return to the Banks’s Stadium.

BLUES

Blackburn have joined the race for Blues striker James McFadden.

The Blues are still resisting attempts to sell midfielder Olivier Kapo to Wigan – but are interested in possible makeweight Ryan Taylor.
