Zaaboub becomes Saddler No 4
Friday 4th July 2008, 11:08AM BST.
Midfielder Sofiene Zaaboub has become the Saddlers’ fourth signing of the week.
The 25-year-old has agreed a one-year deal at the Banks’s Stadium, completing a switch from League One rivals Swindon Town.
Zaaboub is of proven pedigree and has already clocked up 60 games for the Robins in a two-year spell.
The Frenchman also had spells with Montereau, Saint Etienne, Juventus and Brussells.
Manager Jimmy Mullen said: “Sofiene is another proven player at this level. He is at the right age and has an excellent pedigree.
“I am sure will prove to be a valuable member of the squad.
“He is comfortable both in midfield and at full-back and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Really good signing jimmy! I remember he was the only player to run Weston silly at bescot last season.

Yep, looks like another good signing. Still need one defender, one or two midfielders and a striker…

Seems JM was actually just waiting all along. I keep saying we need to give him a chance, get behind the team (once we have one) and stop all this complaining.

Its pleasing that all of the signing so far are mid 20′s as unlike last years scene from Cocoon!
I still feel that we need another striker, Deeney’s is good enough yet and with the departure of Sonko, Nicholls has that wide right slot as it stands. I sRichard walker on his way in after Rovers double signing?

well mullen did say the signings would be here in early july, and at the moment he seems to be right, and although we would ALL love to hear a big name striker turn up the one thing that worries me and no one seems to have picked up on it is the fact the they are only on 1 year deals. still things seem to be picking up

JM another great signing seen him at swindon and the bank`s stadium both time she ran rings around weston and troubled our back four. Hopefully he will be just as good for us as he was against us. COME ON YOU SUPER SADDLERS!!!!!!!!
