Ferdinand dismisses Villa link
Thursday 3rd July 2008, 12:58PM BST.
West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Villa as “just speculation.”
Reports continue to suggest that the Hammers are interested in offloading the centre-back, with Villa thought to be the main contenders in the hunt for his signature.
On the day Curtis Davies offically became a Villa player in a permanent £10million deal from West Brom, any dreams of partnering Davies with Ferdinand appear to be evaporating into the mist.
He said: “It’s just speculation. Until Alan Curbishley tells me I am not a West Ham player, then I’ll be a West Ham player. I love playing for the club.”

Ferdinand might dismiss it now but if West Ham dont want him and no other prem clubs come in for him, his attitude would change pretty quick.
All of a sudden Aston Villa would be his first choice, always looked up to them, MON is the reason I want to play at Villa, Villa fans amongst the best in the country and so on and so on and so on. Ask yourself this, West Ham do not have an abundance of talent, so if they can think about letting Ferdinand go, how good is he.
