Youngsters from five schools took part in an Olympics day organised by Believe 2 Achieve, the charity set up by Wolverhampton machete heroine Lisa Potts.
The charity aims to enhance the self-esteem, personal development, educational experience and future aspirations of children between 7 and 11 years of age.
Lisa hit the headlines when, while working as a nursery nurse, she shielded youngsters from machete attacker Horrett Campbell when he went beserk at a teddy bears’ picnic on July 8, 1996.
She was credited with saving the lives of countless children, despite suffering huge mental trauma and a slashed arm and hand.
She was awarded the George Medal by the Queen and, after leaving the school, set up the Believe 2 Achieve charity for children in All Saints and Blakenhall.
Video journalist Nicky Butler went along to find out more.
