Two men hit by buses

ambulance-top.jpgTwo pedestrians were hit by buses in Wolverhampton city centre today.

A 30-year-old man was taken to New Cross Hospital by ambulance after being struck in Berry Street at around 11.25am.

The National Express West Midlands single decker was turning left into the road near the Co-op when the accident happened.

An hour later police briefly closed Lichfield Street opposite the Royal London pub after an elderly man stepped in front of the 559 National Express West Midlands service. Neither man was seriously hurt.
