WOLVES

Wolves may look to bring in Celtic midfielder Thomas Gravesen as the voice of experience in midfield.

QPR are in the process of steppng up their move for transfer listed Wolves striker Freddy Eastwood.

Everton manager David Moyes is eyeing Wolves striker Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, but thinks he is over-priced at £5million.

Wolves defender Mark Little is wanted back on loan at League One outfit Northampton.

ALBION

The Baggies are slugging it out with fellow Premier League new boys Hull for Plymouth winger Peter Halmosi – but Argyle want close to £3million.

Manager Tony Mowbray has been quoted an initial £2.5million for Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi.

VILLA

Villa manager Martin O’Neill is rumoured to be preparing a move for Wigan striker Emile Heskey, who he first brought to prominence at Leicester.

Villa face competiton from Everton, Celtic and Galatasaray for Spartak Moscow’s Austria Euro 2008 defender Martin Stranzl.

WALSALL

The Saddlers expect to announce their first new signings of the summer this week.

BLUES

The Blues continue to ward off interest in striker James McFadden, with Celtic the latest to have a bid turned down.

Blues boss Alex McLeish does want another striker though and will join Cardiff in the race to sign Glasgow Rangers attacker Kris Boyd, after missing out on Jan Koller.
