Eastwood admits frustration
Saturday 21st June 2008, 5:12PM BST.
Freddy Eastwood has revealed Wolves turned down a request to allow him to return to Southend.
The transfer-listed striker said: “I did have talks with (Southend boss) Steve Tilson and I told him I was interested in coming.
“Wolves said I wasn’t allowed to go on loan to another club in the same division and at one point I really thought I was going to be heading to Southend.
“They were going for the League One play-offs and I wanted to try to help them win promotion. But Wolves stopped me going. I don’t think I will be at Wolves next season.”
Meanwhile, reports Wolves have agreed terms with Derby midfielder David Jones are wide of the mark. The club are edging closer to a deal, though.
