Hooligan is handed five-year ban
Thursday 19th June 2008, 11:44AM BST.
A football hooligan involved in the violence that followed Wolves’ clash with Stoke City offered magistrates his Molineux season ticket as they banned him from all matches for five years.
Sukvinder Timana – who is currently serving time in prison for being drunk and disorderly and theft – shouted “are you a Wolves fan? Do you want my ticket?” as he was dragged back to his cell.
Wolverhampton Magistrates Court heard yesterday how the 41-year-old goaded and taunted away fans following Wolves’ 4-2 defeat on February 9.
Timana, of New Birmingham Road, Dudley, was banned from all matches for five years.
Mr Sarbjit Lalli, defending, said: “He always accepted being present, what he denied was throwing missiles.”
