Blues are in for Koller – agent

Thursday 19th June 2008, 10:00AM BST.

koller.jpegBirmingham manager Alex McLeish has made a move for Czech Republic striker Jan Koller – according to the player’s agent.

The 35-year-old Nurnberg hitman is currently representing his country at Euro 2008 and is believed to be available on a free transfer, after his club were relegated from the Bundesliga.

He only joined them in the January transfer window, making 14 appearances and scoring twice, but has a wealth of previous experience across Europe.

The 6ft 7ins attacker is best remembered for spells at Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.

But McLeish needs to be quick – they are not the only ones interested.

The players agent Pavel Paska said: “Two clubs have shown an interest, Krylia Sovetov Samara and Birmingham.”

I see your players are getting older and older. It is to be believed that you are also trying to buy Paul Ince and Brian Robson (as players!!!!!!!!). GO GO BLUE BOYS!!!!
