Wolves boosted by guest Harris

Wednesday 11th June 2008, 7:00AM BST.

wolverhamptonwolves.JPGCoventry’s Chris Harris will once again guest for Wolves as they make the long trip to Poole tonight in the Elite League.

Harris was instrumental in the side’s 54-38 win over Peterborough on Monday, scoring paid 14 including.

The Wolves suffered a heavy 62-31 defeat on their previous visit to Wimborne Road in April, with Christian Hefenbrock and Nicolai Klindt both struggling.  Both, however, showed revitalised form on Monday.

Dislocated shoulder victim Niels Kristian Iversen is set to attempt a return to action in this weekend’s Danish Grand Prix in Copenhagen, after a three-week absence, although it will not be known immediately if he will return to the Wolves fold for next Monday’s return fixture against Poole.

Pre-season title favourites Poole have enjoyed a reasonable start to their season, although Peterborough surprised them with a two-point victory at Wimborne Road last Wednesday.

The Dorset venue’s wide, smooth track often favours the rider fastest out of the gate.

That said, the Monmore men showed some improved gating ability in Monday’s success, which should set them up well for tonight.

Poole: Chris Holder, Freddie Eriksson, Bjarne Pedersen, Adam Skornicki, Davey Watt, Magnus Zetterstrom, Daniel Davidsson.
