Reality TV stars David Gest and Peter Andre will perform in Wolverhampton in a new musical. The stars ITVs I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, will be at the Civic Hall in a musical about Gest’s life.

The show, called David Gest…My Life!, arrives on October 7 a UK-wide tour.

Gest, who was married to Cabaret legend Liza Minnelli, will perform alongside celebrity friends, The New Stylistics, Freda Payne, Shalamar, rapper Coolio and Billy Payne. Andre, is  the husband of glamour model Jordan .

Civic Hall spokesman Jonn Penney said the show was perfect to expand the venue’s repertoire, after making its name for attracting the best music talents from across the world.

The show tells Gest’s life story through comedy and music, and may feature more than 20 top five chart hits performed by original artists. Emmy nominee Brian Thomas, who choreographed Micheal Jackson’s 30th anniversary show, will  create dance routines.

Welsh singing star Duffy is at the Wulfrun tonight.
