Lakin lands Wolves commercial role
Monday 2nd June 2008, 2:50PM BST.
Wolves have appointed Paul Lakin from rugby league side Hull Kingston Rovers as their new Head of Commercial Affairs.
He will be responsible for developing the club’s off-the-field sales, including sponsorship, ticketing, advertising and hospitality activities.
He leaves his post as chief executive of Hull KR to take up the role, where he oversaw the club’s promotion to the top flight and plans to
construct a new £6m stand and 470-seater restaurant at Craven Park.
Wolves’ Chief Executive Jez Moxey said: “This is an important appointment and I am delighted to have secured Paul’s services. He will arrive at Molineux with a very strong record of delivering excellent results for Hull Kingston Rovers and its commercial partners.
“A successful sales operation is an important part of any club. I am sure Paul will build on Wolves’ strong commercial foundations and become a valuable addition to our senior management team.”
Lakin said: “The opportunity to join a club with the stature of Wolves was too good to refuse. It is a club with major ambition and outstanding Premiership facilities. I am excited by the opportunity they have given me.”
