Fans started queuing from 9pm to meet music legends The Osmonds at Birmingham’s HMV store.
Hundreds of women were outside the store in High Street by lunchtime in readiness for Little Jimmy and Jay as they arrive to sign DVDs ahead of their performance at the NIA last night.
It will be their first appearance in the city as a band for 28 years.
The Osmonds Greatest Hits were blaring from the speakers in HMV as the waiting fans sung and danced to the sounds of their heroes.
The queue was one of the longest Birmingham’s HMV store has ever seen and the atmosphere was more like a rock concert than a DVD signing, with hordes of screaming women, some moved to tears by the experience. Jimmy Osmond said: “The whole tour has been like this and it is absolutely amazing.
“It is 28 years since I was last in Birmingham and it is brilliant to be back. This tour is one last lap around the world for all of us.”
Carole Moseley, aged 47, from Rowley Regis, had come along with her friends who she met though an on-line Osmonds chat room.
The group of four will watch the band perform at every venue.
She said: “It has cost us thousands but it’s worth every penny.”
Natalie Carter, 16, from Stechford was first in the queue having camped out from 9pm. She was not even born when the songs were released, but was introduced to the showbiz family by her gran.
“I just absolutely love them. I just think they are brilliant,” she said.

I don’t think Jimmy has the word ‘Little’ stamped on his passport – and he is over 6 feet tall. AND – I think you’ll find it was 9 AM not PM! Fantastic time!

Gerry – People were _camping_ out from 9pm the night before – not 9am that morning.. and Jimmy Osmond is nowhere near 6 feet tall. He’s not much taller than me, and I’m only 5’6.

The Osmonds..please..they have been icons for the people of the 70′s but nothing id want to lie in the freezing cold waiting to see.
Jimmy singing “long haired lover from liverpool”.
Should title not be changed to “Shaven head Chav from Gucci land”.
