Get rid of the big headed mick and his hangers on.Poorest standard of football i,ve seen played in fourty odd years of following Wolves in the first half of the season.
Has,nt Oconer out lived his sell by date he,s out lived alot of managers.
Time for a bit more quality off the pitch to encourage better quality on it.

One of MS’s better interviews there. The defence and midfield need a total overhaul. I hear Ronaldinho is up for sale lol. Get some beef in central midfield and play Gleeson and Davies if fit.

Not sure about Gleeson, Wolverines. He didn’t look very good in the two play off’s for Stockport apart from his wonder goal. He would severly limit the play of Mark Davies as he looks very reluctant to come back and defend.

Somebody please tell me what the point of that interview was? Stating the obvious really. MM wants to hope and pray his next moves in the transfer market pay off and we are in a challenging position by christmas otherwise he will be out. The football played last season was at times awful and the money wasted on Elliot,Ward and the treatment of Eastwood was a disgrace. Why sign him if he isn’t MM’s type of striker? If he had checked him out in the first place, he would have realised that Eastwood isn’t the sort of player who runs round like a headless chicken. He would be the ideal foil for Blake but that ain’t going to happen now anyway. Any MM fans, ask yourself this.If MM gets us up into the prem,is he the man to establish us in the premiership with his tactical nous? Can he sign the right players to give us a chance of staying up? Even if he was backed heavily, i doubt he would keep us up. He had considerable funds last summer to get us promoted and he failed miserably so how he would fair in the prem ? Whats our long term ambitions?

I would like to see us get a strong back four and then adopt a more positive style of play in midfield rather than be pre-occupied with stifling the opposition. With Kightly, Jarvis, Davies, Edwards, SEB and Keogh we can be one of the strongest attacking units in the division if only Mick were prepared to go for it rather than be cautious.

we need two good defenders with pace, the kid from spurs would be a good loan signing but we would need to splash some serious money to get a permanent signing of good quality.we need someone who can be creative in central midfield and turn a game on its head to compliment jarvis, kitley with edwards, oli and henry fighting it out for the other place, and we could do with someone like the united kid on loan to hull up front with blake,do not want howard not good enough!so mick make sure you get it right with your signing unlike the many mistakes you made last year…

    A fair assesment by Swain.

As an outsider looking in, I think if wolves are to do anything next season, you have got to unite as a club – all the MM in / out hokey cokey needs to be shelved and you need to get back to supporting him and the players – but in a realistic way.

I think automatic promotion may be beyond you based on the competition you will have, but if you keep your best players AND keep them fit then top 6 should be very achievable.

Mm has dropped a few clangers this season both in team selection and PR – but he can’t afford any more of those or Morgan may act.

Its going to be tough for both our clubs next season – i hope we both do what needs to be done.

right people, MM aint goin anywhere so lets get behind him! he cant do anything wrong between now and the start of the season (apart from sell freddy, but we wont go there!) lets just all calm down, after all, we are wolves fans, we should expect to do it the hard way!
see how much old Morgan is willing to spend! if he doesnt support the team financially we know its gonna be another hard season, if he does spend well, the set up is here so we should do well. so lets stop the moaning, get rid of the expectation factor at wolves (they know where we wanna be, so dont moan!) and cheer the lads on!

2 Young keen cetre backs in the mold of Foley and Elokobie. An engine with creativity (might cost)simlar to Edwards (flog ole to part fund)and a quality young striker (not Howard – please). With this we got a chance whether MM’s there or not although a change to his back room staff especially his assistant might generate some new ideas.

Swain said it we were on an adventure after 1st season which was brill but last season I haven’t got a clue where he was going with anything, his attitude, football has been drab, personality clashes galore and particularly his buys who are now up for sale !

Having Jarvis and Kightly is all very but the chances of them staying fit all season is slim. We need to make sure we have a replacement for each of them, I think we need at least four players in the squad that can play wide.

Edwards, I don’t know about yet as he hasn’t played much but if he is a good attacking midfielder then that is good. Hopefully Davies will be fit to fill the same slot!

After that we need a midfield player that can pass and create desperately! Henry is a utility player and Keogh should be sold in my opinion as he isn’t a good enough and doesn’t fit anywhere.

That comes to the strikers, A target man yes, Howard is fine for this roll but we need at least two further strikers as none of the current batch are good enough.

Add to that at least two centre backs and we might be starting to get there.

Still from what McCarthy says we don’t need anybody because we are the strongest team in the league!

This message goes out to Steve Morgan- Do not do what Sir Jack did and thats throw a lot of good money away to a middle of the road manager, and poor side kicks, lets start by bringing in a quality manager (i realise that is easier said than done) but for me Mick is not the right man. if we can attract the right man then we need to invest in building a team that is capable of running away with the division. So many teams go up with players who are out of there depths in the premiership hence a complete new team is required to stay up, and then its to late because you find yourself in the bottom three. Portsmouth is a prime example Harry Redknapp attracted and bought the right kind of players to compete in that division.

The majority of fans do not want McCarthy as manager, that is clear!

You can’t possibly hope to build a successful team when the foundations are unsafe?
McCarthy has always and will always be an average manager. He doesn’t have a hope in hell of cementing us in the premier league. I do wish the club would show us some real ambition for once.

For all of you that keep saying ‘back the manager’ you are probably the same ones that said wait until the end of the season. Now is the right time for this debate. The uncomfortable truth is going to become apparent sooner or later and that is McCarthy is not good enough, why wait until Christmas?

I think Wolves would be wrong to sack MM. Ok we haven’t had the best of seasons, but look what he’s had to work with. Before he came we were a club heading to league one when Hoddle left. His signings aren’t bad players they just haven’t worked for Wolves. This summer will be exciting and i very much believe we’ll make the premier league. I dont think sacking mick is the right plan of action for starters. He made plenty of mistakes this season, eg poor signings, bad management of freddie, letting jones go out on loan when we had no fit left wingers, but if he goes, kightly SEB and hennessy will undoubtedly consider following. The players have a clear liking of mick and a management change could cause problems in the ranks. I think he needs to be backed now, at least give the guy a couple of months next season and reanalyse our position then. I think we need a couple of centre backs, one of which MUST be of a particuarly high standard, and we need a couple of strikers as we are clearly going to be without eastwood next year, leaving us with no-one of any use whatsoever behind the first choice 2 of SEB and keogh. Midfield im unsure about. I worry about the width, as it is the wide positions which lost us the playoffs last season. We had nothing behind kightly and jarvis who were injured for much of the season. However, we can but hope that they and jones and gobern will all remain fit for most of next year, in which case, we will probably be ok with what we have. Centre midfield, again unsure. I think the problem we have is a lack of creativity, but i have a bad feeling that this is the managers fault and whoever plays there we will have a similar problem due to his style of football. I believe Rosa would have been absolutely perfect for a creative centre midfield role, but he isnt micks type of player. The other problem is, we are inundated with centre mids. Olofinjana, henry, edwards, davies and gleeson, and surely if we were to buy another, one of these current players must be placed on the transfer list along with potter, who in my view has been the worst player to grace molineux for many a year. In all, with the players who were put up for sale, we are in need of 2 strikers, 2 centre backs, and possibly a midfielder. lets just hope mick gets it right this pre season, and please lads, lets get behind him this year.

MM needs to get a grip with PR. He also needs to come to termswith the fact he is not bigger than this club which seems to be his opinion at the moment. Get the fans back on side, and that applies to SM as well. On the pitch we need a young strong quick center back. A ball winner and play maker in midfeld. Up front a Big striker to partner SEB. someone to holdthe ball up and bring other players into the game.

Most of the rumours about who we are going to sign are just comments made by agents repeated by hacks. There will be competition for all the names mentioned and plenety not mentioned. No club can just pick and choose its targets; it has to have several within its wage structure for each position it wants to strengthen. No mangager, especially in this league, always gets what he wants but he has to back them when we arrive, like MM did with Eastwood. Then Eastwood showed he is just a head-down runner from midfield, not a team player. That may look like a mistake, but its what happens at every club. Unless you manage the Prem top 4, you just have to hope that more than 50% of the signings will turn out well.

It’s interesting that Swain, a pro reporter, confirms the gap between the fans and the chief executive. I think that one very important aspect Swain overlooks is the deja-vu factor.
In 1989-90, the year before Hayward took over, Wolves were 10th in this division, in 1999-2000, the year before Moxey became chief executive, Wolves were 6th. Since 1989, Wolves have got a new stadium and spent one disastrous year in the Premiership. Otherwise, we’ve just been treading water for 18 years. In particular, we’ve finished 7th three times in the last four years–deja vu again!!! We’re all bored with stagnation!
    Just for comparison:
In 1989-90, 3rd-div Bolton, Birmingham, Reading, Wigan and Fulham finished 6th, 7th, 10th, 18th and 20th respectively, while in Div.2 Wolves finished above Portsmouth (12th), West Brom (20th) and Middlesbrough (21st).
In 1999-2000, Wigan, Stoke and Reading failed to get promotion from the 3rd tier (Div.1) and in our division Wolves finished above Fulham, Blackburn, Portsmouth and West Brom.
    Wolves? 1989-90 10th, 1999-2000 6th, 2007-08 7th. Deja vu. Yawn!
It’s amazing how our support has stood up despite the management’s lack of progress, and it’s no wonder so many fans are feeling impatient and bloody-minded.

The way to encourage him in your way of thinking is to stroke his vanity, not to confront it. He is here for the long haul. So MM is crap, and such like comments serve only to wind yourselves up no way will it affect him or I dare say the board. MM is not a bad manager, although his PR skills could do with a little polish like most of us if your honest, he thinks he can do no wrong. It’s called being competitive and who wants a manager who is not competitive.
