A Black Country boozer looks set to face the axe, after the landlords were ordered out of the property.
Mick and Mamta Bargota from the Boscobel Tavern in Tipton have received a letter from brewery bosses threatening legal action if they are not out within two weeks.
And the couple, who live there with their three children, says they face being left homeless, having leased out their own house in nearby Bush Road and given up other jobs in order to run the pub.
Mr and Mrs Bargota took over the lease in December on a short-term basis, in a bid to revive the fortunes of the pub and quickly restored it to a thriving community venue, hosting regular events and successful darts and pool teams.
They were already in negotiations over a long-term deal in March before being told that owners Marston’s Pub Company was considering selling the property.
A campaign was quickly launched to save the pub, backed by darts legend Eric Bristow, West Bromwich West MP Adrian Bailey and nearly 1,000 members of the public who have put their names to a petition.
No-one from Marston’s was available for comment.
