Bruce eyes a bid for Kapo
Wednesday 14th May 2008, 11:23AM BST.
Blues keeper Maik Taylor looks set to join Mehdi Nafti in staying at the club, but they could lose Olivier Kapo to Steve Bruce’s Wigan.
Taylor, 36, has been the subject of speculation linking him to a switch to Liverpool, but he is close to signing a new deal at St Andrew’s.
Kapo has a £3.5m escape clause in his contract and former boss Bruce is ready to trigger it in order to bring the midfielder to the Latics.
Tunisian midfielder Nafti signed a one-year extension to his contract yesterday.
