Wolves missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs despite winning at home to Plymouth.

Goal difference came back to haunt Wolves as they missed out on the finishing line.
Seyi George Olofinjana scored the winner on 87 minutes after he ran through from midfield and finished Freddy Eastwood’s through ball with aplomb.
Michael Kightly had earlier missed from eight yards for the home side, while Andy Keogh failed to touch in a cross.
The misses proved crucial as a 3-0 win would have seen Wolves leapfrog Watford into the top six.
After the game, Steve Morgan thanked the fans and players from the pitch.
“I’ve never seen a group of players win a game and look so unhappy,” he said.
The owner added that the team would succeed next season.

We had the chances to win by 3 goals. We didnt take our opportunities which reflects most of this season. Our squad is good enough to be in the play offs, but we just havn’t shown enough of the quality we have.
Staying down, I hate to say it, may do us good. As we will have another season to mature and build up a side that is capable of doing well in the premier league. Or maybe im just making myself feel better for not getting in the play offs. Up the Wolves

I am grateful for what he has done for us and I think hes a good bloke but it was MMs negative tactics and inept handling of his players have caused us to have a poor GD, which is what has cost us in the end. I say bring on Big Sam Alladyce. The sad thing is that late goal might actually save MMs job.

There was a number of reasons why we didnt go up, dropping points to Southampton, Watford, Ipswich in the last minutes, Im sure there are more but I dont want to think about it.
Also there a number of other things that might of helped our cause
1) Freddy got given more of a chance
2) Kites didnt get injured
3) If MM didnt stick with Stephen Ward,when we had Jarvis waiting.

Gutted. How could so much of the game be played in Plymouth’s half and we still fail to score so many times when we are being gifted the ball? Have no strong opinion about Freddie other than that he always changes the game and he can’t be criticised for not scoring if he only ever comes on for the last few minutes.

Finally we have an astute chairmen with a long term strategy. We are building for the future and in all honesty are not ready to go up. We have a young team who are only going to get better and more importantly a herd of youth team players (Dunleavy, Collins, Glesson, Bennett & Hemmings) who are coming through. The only thing that is hampering their development is the continual cloud of gloom by some so-called “supporters”. Half of these players are too fearful of making mistakes and it was no suprise what-so-ever when the goal when in against Ipswich as half of the crowd were expecting, if not willing, the ball to go in. There is no positivity down the Wolves – just relentless calls for heads to roll at the slightest signs of touble. Two years ago we were tipped for relegation – now some true fans are calling for the team who missed out by 2 goals to be stripped out. I am not saying that eveything is sweetness and light, as some tactical decisions have frustrated everyone. However we need to keep the faith. Forget Ince – MK Dons were always to good for that league. Get behind the team, as otherwise your doom-filled predictions will be right – Hennessy, Blake & Kightly will be off – however with half of the rubbish fans down the Wolves on the back at the slightest mistake who could blame them? Even better if you are so angry – do us all a favour and stay away from the Molineux – you are the disgrace, not McCarthy, Moxey or the Team. Keep the faith!

There are countless fans in this country who all think they support the biggest club, Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Leeds, Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday. Where are all these clubs??
The size of any club is a matter of opinion, they only club in my opinion that has any right to call themselves a big club is Manchester United.
I do feel for the Wolves, missing out by one goal is very unfortunate, but don’t blame the Albion for being happy, we are the champions because we are the best team in the championship, the league table proves that.

Will you really be concentrating on where WBA are in the league next year, if so you may as well go and watch them next season. What a great day for football, WWFC staying down going to be more difficult to win championship next year with Dirty Leeds,Forrest,Derby,Possibly Birmingham. Hope we spend all our 62 million wisely and can consolidate in the
promised land that is the premiership.

Thought my sunday afternoon could not get any better when The Albion were crowned champions but i was wrong.
The dingles missed out by a goal ohh boo hoo shame got what you deserved boring an overated.
Then low and behold 40 pound win on NATAGORA AT 7/2 =140 POUNDS PROFIT.
Then on further inspection found i had the forecast with spacious at 11/2 in second with a fiver reversed oh joy of all joys.
ONLY NEED MICK MCARTHY TO SIGN ANOTHER CONTRACT AND KEEP DINGLES DOWN ANOTHER 5 YEARS AN WILL BE IN 7TH HEAVEN PMSL.
