A caravan on a pub car park and a portable building were among the unusual places Black Country voters were casting their votes today.
Polling stations in Wolverhampton opened at 7am and will close at 10pm, with the big count starting at 9.30am tomorrow.
Two votes which will definitely not be included are those of siblings Samantha and Cynthia McCarron, aged 11 and six respectively and from Wednesfield Road in Heath Town, who received polling cards by mistake.
Bemused father Kevin, 48, said today: “When I got the cards through the post I just laughed – I asked Cynthia who she’s going to vote for and she said Barbie.”
