VILLA

Villa are ready to beat Tottenham for Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

Possible Villa target Carlo Cudicini is staying at Chelsea according to his agent.

Another keeper – this time Wolves’ Wayne Hennessey is also on the radar.

BLUES

Blues midfielder Fabrice Muamba is emerging as a transfer target for Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.

Winger Daniel de Ridder admits he may have to consider his future after becoming “frustrated” at his lack of first-team outings.

ALBION

West Brom are set to snap up Manchester City defender Gary Breen.

WOLVES

Keeper Wayne Hennessey could be on his way to Villa Park.

WALSALL

Nothing to report today.

We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest gossip.

We are not saying they’re true – just that they’re out there

You have read ours now add your own rumours.

    Accountant Wolf

I know that a section of fans will be upset by this rumour, but as I keep explaining, it is inevitable.

The lad has ambition, he could be one of the all-time greats. He needs a Premiership platform.

This news may start a bidding war, as we know that other clubs are interested.

This is all the Wolves fans can expect while the clubs financial model is based on the Championship.

What did Morgan say yesterday, we are NOT selling our best players.
Anyway our best keeper is back next season. As much as i like Hessessey, he’s no Matt Murray.

    S.E

Of course it hurts in our hearts if we once again sell one of our really good former Wolves Academy lads, but with Murray fit and a couple of other decent keepers in the squad, it is actually no huge problem when it comes to results. With Murray fit Hennessy are doomed playing with the reserves a couple of years and then being sold to a much lower price. If it wasnt all this ifs about Murray I would say: Sell him if the price is right and buy a decent central midfielder for the money.

The rumours concerning three Wolves players is inevitable as even if we make the play-offs there are still 3 matches to win before the Premiership can be considered.

How ironic then that Mick’s stubborness has come back to haunt him again last night – 2 goals for a certain Welshman at The Bescott Stadium. Were the 2 goals because of a lower level club he was playing against, or a player who will always score if given the opportunity for a full 90 minutes ?

All football clubs are selling clubs at the right price except an elite group of about 6 clubs at the top of Europe.

Glorious pieces of individual skill and determination that have enabled Zolly to stand head-and-shoulders above all others in this division; and on-par with many in the Prem.

If he can get a big money deal at a ‘bigger’ club (and by that I mean one either in Europe or with a REAL chance of making Europe in the short-term) then good for him – he’s more than earned it.

But if he decides to stay with us – which isn’t what his UK agent has said – then I for one will be delighted to see him in the Prem next season.

One of the few sensible comments, whether you support, Villa, West Brom, Blues, Walsall,Real Madrid or my club Wolves every player has there price, Wayne may well leave Wolves, Gareth Barry could leave Villa and Zoltan Gera may still leave the baggies. This is the reality of modern football, I dont think Wolves, Villa or Albion need the money to stay in business but if a club offers £5m for Wayne Hennesey or £15m for Barry or £5m for Gera chances are these players will leave.

Its not because Jez Moxey is a bad Chief executive and while he runs the club the club wont develop or progress, or Aston Villa lack ambition or because Zoltan Gera is a greedy mercenary. Its because every player and I mean every player has their price and sometimes it just makes good business sense.

Its about time people realise this.

26 michael who is the one who needs to grow a brain, so Kightly could have gone to man U then why didn’t he, because he thought wolves to be the better option?, hennessey could go to any premier club again then why hasn’t he ? if were going down the could have lines, if mad Mick could have signed better players you could have made it up, if he could have more money you could have signed more has beens, if steve morgan would have waited he could have bought a real football club like liverpool who he was originally after, and to think i wished wolves good luck in the play offs, with bitter and twisted no brainers like you supporting the wolves i think i might take it back

I recall no one saying “get rid” of gera – why would we ? TM made a policy of moving on players who wanted to go – whoever they were… gera would have been the same.

HE has made no secret of his desire to play in the prem and now may / may not do that with us (but at least he has the choice).

Look at the Albion at the end of last season – all the so-called stars left (for excellent prices negotiated by the Chairman, not an ex-Stoke Chief Executive, eg £6m for Diomansy Kamara – what a steal!), the money was used to good effect by a good manager, and Albion have still gained promotion.
