Wolves striker to stand trial

Sylvan Ebanks-BlakeWolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake pleaded not guilty to assault when he appeared before magistrates today.

The 22-year-old will now stand trial at Plymouth Crown Court on an allegation he caused actual bodily harm to 37-year-old Greg Smith in November last year.

Ebanks-Blake, who is also accused of using threatening words and behaviour, was bailed by magistrates. His case is next listed at the crown court on June 20 when it is likely to be adjourned for trial.
