Roberts no sale pledge
Wednesday 16th April 2008, 11:27AM BST.
Blackburn chairman John Williams insists former Albion striker Jason Roberts will not be sold in the summer following fresh speculation about his future at Ewood Park.
The 30-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Rovers side since a £3m move from Wigan in 2006 and had a transfer request rejected earlier this season.
However, he has started the last five matches and Williams has rubbished rumours linking Roberts to Derby, Sunderland and Bolton.
“Jason’s been on a good run of late and, as far as I’m concerned, he will be with us at the start of next season,” Williams said.
“Certainly at the moment, hes not for sale and we won’t be entertaining any app-roaches for him.
“We are not in the process of wanting to lose our best players and Jason comes into that category.”

Why the hell are they in our league and cup anyway. They spend all their time spouting off about how great Wales is. Send them packing to the league of Wales. It’s great getting old, you can moan about anything.
