An historic former glassworks has landed £2 million to transform the site into one of the Black Country’s biggest tourist attractions.
Bosses from the Glasshouse Arts Centre in Amblecote, Stourbridge, will now transform the Victorian site into a state-of-the-art glass, art and education centre.
Officials from the Heritage Lottery Fund yesterday confirmed a grant of £2 million.
The development will be led by the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust.
Spokeswoman Janine Christley said: “Preserving this heritage is vital to the local community and it honours the global reputation that Stourbridge used to enjoy.”
