Wolves ace feels top of game

Thursday 3rd April 2008, 11:27AM BST.

747charlwolv-10-tt-2.jpgWolves hotshot Sylvan Ebanks-Blake today struck a shudder through Championship defences when he admitted he feels like he can score in every game.

Ebanks-Blake’s brace in the win at Charlton made it nine in 14 games for the 22-year-old.

Championship defenders can rest easy this weekend as Wolves aren’t back in action until the sell-out trip to Bristol City in nine days’ time.

But the ex-Manchester United reserve insists he’s finding the back of the net easily at the moment.

“Once you hit a vein of form it feels like you’re going to score in every game,” said Ebanks-Blake.

“Even when I’m not scoring, my mentality is that I’m going to get two or three chances in a game and it’s up to me what I do with them.

“I’ve looked back and studied games I’ve played in and other top players in and around different leagues and what I find is no matter how bad a game you’re having, you always get two or three chances.

“You might not have the best game, but if your concentration is right, you might end up winning the game for your team.”

Pure quality! he is a top signing and a player that, should we get promotion, we can take up with us to frighten Premiership defences as well.

Denes Rosa scores again! Does anyone know why this guy is never considered. Did he fall out with MM? Having seem him play last season or was it the season before, I thought he was a good player and surely deserves at least a place on the bench. How many goals have come from midfield this season? not many! Give him a chance MM!

I cant beleieve the turn around here. Isn’t anyone still a bit worried about Phillips and co??
Our defence hasnt been that great of late, let in 5 in last 2 games ourselves……. ok we scored 6 but I still feel they have a better team and will get a result.
I think our run in is going to be pretty tough. Not being negative just realistic. Away at Bristol is the start of it…….win that though and we could get a playoff spot.

Rosa Tinted glasses, its hard to say that considering hasnt been given a chance in the 1st team! Had chance to do that when Jarvis was injured and MM chose his love child “Stephen Ward”, Never mind Rosa, you’ll be gone to a club in the summer who will see your worth in goals.

I would say SEB will almost certainly get two or three chances against Sandwell Supermarket. I reckon he will bury 2 of them. Trouble is we all know the Tesco’s DO score lots of goals. Should be a cracking night on 15 April. Can’t wait. As for the run in. Well 6 games left. I reckon 11 points required for play off’s. But then again I am quite mad and my best friend is a tree. Called Adolf.

The second goal against Charlton just sums up his confidence. He feels like he can score against anyone, and rightly so! He’s been a wonderful aquisition and long may it continue!
He will definately be a key pleyer for the rest of the season and you know Sandwell Town are keeping one hell of an eye on him. I’m going to love seeing how they are going to try to keep him quiet… try being the key word.
For all you quetioning Rosa, he’s played 10 reserve games… for the simple reason he’s been injured. Why would you want to change the team anyway in this rich vein of form?

Come on Merlin… You know exactly what you’re doing! In MM I trust.

    UP THE WOLVES!!

    16. You must of made a fortune selling those pies mate

This article is typical E&S, building up players so much that the expectation weighs heavily on them and the team once they play, can they not be sensible in their reporting. All this to sell a few more issues. I’ll get excited when we’ve done the job. Lets just hope that he keeps smiling because he seems to be realy enjoying his game at the moment

Wolves best player, a million times better than LAZY EASTWOOD. “Wolves fans” take notice, and stop talking rubbish saying MM should go and Eastwood should be in the team.

No real comparison between SEB and Philips is there. SEB is a young player with the ability to develop into a Premier League striker. Philips is near the end of his career and proved at Villa that he is not quite good enough for the top level.

No real comparison between SEB and Philips is there. SEB is a young player who is very fat and overweight with the ability to develop into a John Hartson. Philips is near the end of his career and will go on for quite a bit, as he is fitter than most 22 year olds!

    21. Too right mate, the tesco’s saying Seb aint that good and we talk him up. The stats say everything and I’d rather rely on a 22 year old with bags of potential than an old codger like they do.

Well done SEB. The kind of quality buy we need at the club and the kind of player to take us beyond the premiership. I am begining to see the type of player Mick is looking for for the standard we are rising too. And I love it.##

19 Totally agree far better than eastwood (very overrated). 21 I remember Philips won the golden boot once? And was rumoured to be a Wolves signing when we got promoted. Philips has had his day yes but still an excellent goal poacher. Still I hope we have an entertaining game and SEB gets a hattrick, been a while since a Wolf got a hattrick vs Baggies.
