Sugababes hit with sell-out crowd
Saturday 29th March 2008, 10:12AM GMT.
Sugababes, Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
Seen as less sexy than Girls Aloud but with the credibility and raw talent of Destiny’s Child, Sugababes showed a sell-out Wolverhampton crowd why they have been hailed Britain’s most successful all-female group of the 21st century.
If enduring rumours of in-fighting are true, it certainly wasn’t obvious last night as Heidi, Amelle and only original member Keisha delivered a glorious 75-minute set crammed with R&B-flavoured pop hits.
Just a shame that they acted as divas by banning all press photography of the show, presumably in case the Express & Star caught their less flattering side.
While there were a few younger fans in the Civic Hall audience – a mix of couples and groups of girlfriends – this was a classy, grown-up affair devoid of tack and at times truly outstanding.
They opened with catchy hits Hole in the Head and Round Round and closed with sensational performances of Push The Button and About You Now.

I went to last nights Sugababes concert and all I can say is wooooaaah !!!!. after being to 5 other babes concerts this one was intimate, entertaining and amazing, from the minute the girls appeared under the white cloth, to the minute they stepped off in style, the whole show was amazing.pure perfect live vocals, stunning costumes, energetic routines and smiles to prove the critics wrong… this shows why the babes are miles apart from other girl bands of 21st century. well done girls after a week of flu you cheered my night up.
