In Division Two of the West Midlands Snooker League, British Rail slipped up to a 3-2 away defeat at W’ton Electric.
Paul Harrison (61) and Anthony Darby claimed victory for the Rail only for Andy Davies, Wayne Battersby (45) and Jason Banks to win the match for Electric.
This result enabled Hotshots to close the gap to a single point after they defeated bottom club Goodyears 4-1, Brett Hall, Neil Beckley, Wayne Robbins and Milan Krstanovic (37) were all in fine form for Hotshots.
Third placed Wednesbury cons managed a 4-1 home win against West Brom Labour.
