Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Patshull Hall up for £4m sale

One of the West Midlands’ top wedding venues Patshull Hall is up for sale for £4 million, throwing its future use into doubt.
The Grade I listed stately home, which has 60 lavish rooms and 50 acres of breathtaking grounds, could be sold off as a private house.
All weddings organised will take place until November but no future bookings are being taken until a buyer comes forward and their plans for the hall are made clear.
The stunning estate, which lies seven miles from Wolverhampton near Pattingham, was bought for £1.25 million by interior designer Tim Reynolds in 1999.
It was in a shocking state after being left virtually untouched since its use as a hospital and had planning permission in place to be transformed into 27 homes.
But instead 55-year-old Mr Reynolds lovingly restored it to its former glory, resurrecting many of its original features.
Tony Morris-Eyton, of the agent Savills, said at £4 million the house in Burnhill Green was definitely a bargain.
“We wanted to pitch it at a good price. It is being sold as either a private house or as a wedding venue, and we have had to put all enquiries about weddings on hold while the house is on the market,” he said.
