Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

No new suits for Albion players
Wednesday 12th March 2008, 11:24AM GMT.
Albion’s players will not get new suits for their semi-final trip to Wembley as manager Tony Mowbray tries to keep their thoughts away from the FA Cup.
The Baggies boss is anxious to keep a lid on the euphoria surrounding their first FA Cup semi-final in 26 years in an effort to avoid damaging their promotion campaign.
And he has stressed that the clash with Portsmouth in the last four will be treated as just another game with new suits ruled out unless they beat Pompey to book a return trip to Wembley for the final.
“It’s another game for us – it has to be that way,” said Mowbray.
“We’ll have the same travel arrangements, it’ll be another game.”
And Mowbray, who led his team to Wembley for last season’s Championship play-off final, joked: “The team got new suits last season and only wore them once so if anyone wants a new suit they’ll have to buy their own!”
Mowbray’s men return to league action against Crystal Palace tonight with the manager insisting the focus of the squad is now firmly back on the race for the Premier League.
And he is bracing his players for a tough examination from the Eagles.
“Business hasn’t stopped at all,” said Mowbray. “We’ve said all along the league is where our priority has got to be. Crystal Palace offer a very stern test and I think they are a much improved team.
“They have a game plan about how they play, they have very young, attacking legs, a lot of pace, a lot of mobility up front and very well organised defensively and midfield.
“Three of our next four are at home and it’s imperative we pick up as many points as we can from that run of games because when we come out of that period we will have a severe test of fixtures, a lot of them away from home, with a cup game in the middle of that. We have to try to stay focussed.”

last time we had new suits was when we went to the millenium stadium and won the playoff final you idiots.
do you remember what it’s like to win at a national stadium.
its okay to keep on going but you are supposed to win when you get there.
but that’s what happens when you play in a crap stadium in the slums.
