Brewster’s boys bounce back
Monday 3rd March 2008, 9:45AM GMT.
After going a goal down the Ashmore showed what they are made of in this battle with Blakenhall and came out on top with a 2-1 win.
With injuries to Carl Rogers and Mark goals Cooper it looked for a long time that the Ash wouldn’t be able to crack this one but when Brannon hit a free kick from outside the box with frightning power the Blakenhall keeper had to get out of the way as it would have cut him in two.
The ball was still gaining pace as it smashed in the roof of the net.
Ten mins later Tony Brown played in Lee Mincher who chipped a delightful ball over the onrushing keeper.
That sent the large crowd wild with joy as Brewster’s Boys now have gone unbeaten in the league all season and have made the cup final which will be played on 14th April at Goodrich at 1.00pm ko.
