New boy eyes Premier place
Tuesday 19th February 2008, 3:45PM GMT.
South Korean star Kim Do-Heon today set his sights on a career in the Premier League as he was officially unveiled as an Albion player.
Kim was paraded at a press conference this afternoon and he immediately set his sights on the top flight.
And he insisted moving to The Hawthorns was right for his career rather than holding out for a club already in the Premier League. Kim said: “I want to improve this team and this club and I want to make a contribution.
“I want to get to the Premier League step by step. I like this club and this team and I think I can help.”
Kim, who speaks almost no English, addressed the media through an interpreter, but manager Tony Mowbray insisted the 25-year-old has settled in well.
Mowbray said: “I can see he is a good player. And although we cannot talk to each other as such I can also tell he has a good attitude and a good personality.”

That’s my boy.. Class player will add an extra dimension to the midfield. Should enjoy the Semi Final atmosphere at Wembley. Used to playing on the big stage

note his comment about getting to the premier league “step by step”. he clearly sees this club as a stepping stone to advance his career like so many albion players before him

Good luck to him, he does sound like a cracking player “the Paul Scholes of Korea” he has been described as. You tube has a lot about him.

With that strange language and weird dialect its no wonder he needs an interpreter…….. but thats the north for ya.
All the other players can understand him so KIM will have to learn!!

I used to cringe at the abuse posted on our pages by Baggies but that has changed. The pages today are almost Baggie free. Please don’t give up on us. I know it’s no competition at the moment but keep the faith, we will get better and you can start again having a go. Are you bored or do you think that there is no longer any point? We need you Baggies so please come back. Can I tempt you with a half hearted Rovers for the Cup. You know I don’t mean it really but we need you on our pages again.
