Under 8s – Stone Cross Lions must be in the running for team of the month. Just two weeks after they picked up their first league win of the season they confounded the form book by reaching the final of the League Cup although they had to rely on a penalty shoot out victory to overcome F.C. Perton in the semi final after a goal from Darrien Stone for the Lions cancelled out a strike from Matthew Morris.
The Lions had reached the semi final with a narrow victory over All Saints Juniors courtesy of goals from Darrien Stone and Ayden Bogle with Skye Hylton replying for All Saints while F.C. Perton had beaten On the Ball Academy on the way to the final with a hat trick from Jordan Williams and goals from Jordan Astbury and Diarmuid Finbar Hehir with Joel Waite replying for On the Ball.
Stone Cross Lions will face F.C. Strollers in the final after Strollers overcame Autumn League Champions Bentley in a penalty shoot out after they shared the goals in a six goal thriller with Gianni Boparon, Ellis Greatrex and Kian Dwyer on target for Strollers and Jake Powers, with a brace, and Josh Toye replying for Bentley.
Strollers had an easier passage in the semi final where four first half goals from Kian Dwyer and one each from Gianni Boparon and James Birk saw them overcome Vic Market Tigers although the Tigers rallied in the second half with Ethan Jones notching the only goal of the half.
Vic Market Tigers reached the semi final after a penalty shoot out victory over Stone Cross Tigers after goals from Ethan Jones and Mitchell Highfield were cancelled out by a brace from Thomas Shorthouse for Stone Cross.
In the Charity Cup a hat trick from Joel Waite and a strike from Adrian Dougan helped On the Ball Academy beat All Saints Juniors to progress to the semi finals with Joseph Hall replying.
They are joined in the semis by Bentley Youth, who beat Stone Cross Tigers with three goals apiece from Jake Powers and Josh Toye with Bailey Lowth bagging a brace in reply.
Under 10s – With the early matches hit by frozen pitches, only a handful of matches were played in the Premier and Second Divisions, but in the First and Third Divisions a full set of fixtures was played, with some interesting results.
In the First Division leaders Wolverhampton Development Pumas suffered a setback as they went 1–3 to Rowley Rangers.
Lewis Fletcher scored twice, along with one from Wesley Lewis for Rowley, with Jack Richards pulling one back for Pumas.
In their next match Pumas faced second-placed FC Perton, with the Aaron David Green scoring for Perton and Joshua Birkett for Pumas in a 1–1 draw.
The same score line for Perton, with Andrew Shave scoring in their match Perton and Codsall East, who had George Vernon on target means that Perton are leapfrogged in the table by Tipton Olympic, who had a brace from Adam Woodward and goals from M Dobas and Jake Langley to thank for their 4–0 win over Perton and Codsall East.
However their party was spoiled by the day’s most successful team, Rowley Rangers who followed up their victory over Wolverhampton Pumas with Dominic Taylor scoring the only goal of the game – a result that lifts Rowley to fourth in the table.
In the Third Division leaders NC Colts started the day with a 2–0 win over Coopers Casuals thanks to goals from Thomas Withers and Reece Peterkin, while closest rivals FC Perton Pumas were fighting out a 2–2 draw with Bustleholme.
A brace from Theo Williams for Pumas was cancelled out by goals from Delmaro Channer and Jake Davies.
Earlier Joseph Sheldon had hit a ha trick for Pumas along with goals from Theo Bird and Theo Williams, as they ran out 5–1 winners against Prestwood Rangers, who had Kyle Ellis on target.
It was a good day for Salisbury Rangers who, after a goalless draw with Bustleholme went on to a 1–0 win over the league leaders, Ethan Harris scoring the all-important goal.
Coopers Casuals had Jason Walton, Liam Noble, Zach Reynolds and Ben Plant all on target as they ran out 4–0 winners over Prestwood Rangers
Under 11s – The heavy frost decimated the fixtures with just two games beating the conditions.
Three goals apiece from Birch and Mason and a strike from Tuck helped premiership leaders Willenhall Town Colts beat stable mates Willenhall Town Reds while East Park Phoenix beat Perton and Codsall United 2-1 to move into second spot in the First Division.
Under 12s – The Under 12s faired little better where a brace from Jackson Miles and a strike from Jamie Parkes helped New Park Village beat F.C. Perton to book their place in the Jamie Mason (League) Cup semi finals with Luke Moseley replying.
The “Village” are joined in the semis by Willenhall Town who beat Warstones Wanderers (Lions) with a hat trick from Kristian Parker and goals from A J Singh Rayner and Joshua Garbett with Terrell Morgan replying for the Lions.
In the Premier Division a brace from Matthew Cherryington and a strike from Jack Wilds helped Sedgley White Lions beat Moorcroft Raiders to record their first league win of the season and in the Spring Shield a hat trick from Mark Sutton and a strike from Vinney Dass helped Windsor beat Coven United with Joshua Lloyd replying.
Under 13s – The conditions also had an effect on the Under 13s fixtures, causing significant disruption to the delayed Jenny Chapman (League) Cup third round ties where first division Wednesbury Oak Colts caused a major upset when they beat premiership Willenhall Town with goals from Joe Parsons and Tom Ruston with Ryan Downing replying while premiership leaders Warley Vipers scrapped through to the fourth round with a single goal victory at first division All Star Harriers with Luke Shirley netting the all important goal.
In the First Division goals from Koldian Beqa, Michael Barber and Fabian Facey helped leaders Warstones Wanderers (South) beat Bentley Community.
In the Second Division it was honours even when New State Lions entertained Bantock Vipers with goals from Jack and Sam Elmore for the Lions cancelled out by a strike from Lee Gorman and an own goal.
Under 14s – Having picked up their first league win just two weeks ago and followed that up with an impressive draw against second placed Windsor last week second division Moorcroft Raiders unbeaten run continued in the Second Division Charity Cup where a hat trick from Smith and a strike from Holmes helped them to victory over Bentley Youth while Windsor also progressed to the next round with a 4-2 victory over Wednesfield Phoenix.
In the First Division Charity Cup goals from Andrew Flavell, Connor Derbyshire and Oliver Harris helped Perton and Codsall United overcome B.N.J.S.F.C. by the odd goal in five with Darryl Cooper and Zain Siddyne replying while goals from Benson and Walker helped F.C. Perton beat Smethwick Sikh Temple and a brace from Brett Summerfield and a strike from Ian Tipton helped Beechdale Swifts beat Tipton Olympic with Symeon Nelson replying while Willenhall Town Colts beat Tipton Town 7-1.
In the Premier Division Sandwell Dynamos beat Tettenhall Wood Athletic to close the gap on the leaders Hill Top courtesy of a hat trick from Wilson and a strike from Dupont with Houghton and Neild on target for Tettenhall while goals from Bernard, Lee, Thomas and Meggoe helped Warstones Wanderers (North) beat Willenhall Town Swifts.
In the First Division Sedgley White Lions edged closer to leaders Beechdale Swifts with an impressive victory over Warstones Wanderers (South) thanks to a hat trick from Bungar and a brace from Scriven with Reed and Marshall replying while in the Second Division Tipton Athletic beat Coven United by the odd goal in five.
Under 15s – It took a penalty shoot out to separate Wood Farm Wanderers and Woodsetton in the delayed second round tie in the Chris Lees Cup with Wood Farm progressing to the third round while in the third round Punjab United beat Penn Rovers 3-1.
The first round tie in the Premier Division Charity Cup between Trysull Tigers and Parkes Hall was also a close affair with Parkes Hall progress to the next round via a penalty shoot out after the teams had shared four goals while in the First Division Charity Cup F.C. Perton beat Smethwick United 5-1 while in the Second Division Charity Cup two goals from Croiser and one each from Williams and Southall helped All Saints overcome Wood Green United with Hack replying. In the Premier Division a hat trick from Timmins and goals from Barnet, Pillen, Butler and Sullivan helped Willenhall Town Swifts beat Finchfield with Gromansiki and Tonks replying while a brace from Jackson and goals from Brown and Lewis helped Windsor beat Wolverhampton Development by the odd goal in seven with Mondhar, Robert and Watson replying while a brace from Korey and a strike from Howells helped Beechdale Swifts beat Carlisle Swifts.
In the First Division two goals apiece from Bott and Pursall helped Featherstone R.W.B. to an excellent victory over leaders Park Hill Boys with Tonks replying while second placed Springvale took full advantage of Park Hill’s slip up to close the gap on the leaders with a victory over Perton & Codsall United with goals a brace from Quarry and goals from Stanford and Abraham.
A brace from Boutley helped Second Division leaders beat Warstones Wanderers to maintain their 100% record while three goals apiece from Oliver and Jack Green helped Bilbrook Juniors (North Star) beat Tipton Warriors with Dara replying and it was honours even when Sedgley White Lions entertained Darlaston Town with a hat trick from Williams for the visitors cancelled out by goals from Middleton, Gordon and Mallhi.
Under 16s – A brace from Russell Main helped Second Division champions beat third division high flyers Aldersley in the delayed second round tie of the Wednesbury Junior Cup with James Viola replying while in the third round goals from Jamie Whittacker, Kevin Ward, Howard Baker helped first division Hill Top Rangers Colts record an impressive victory at premiership outfit Willenhall Town Swifts with Kyle Mason replying and a hat trick from Danny Mayne and goals from Jake Bedford and Connor Scott helped premiership outfit Bustleholme overcome first division Willenhall Town Colts with Michael Lea replying while in the all first division tie goals from Luke Taylor, Daniel Cashmore and Joe Joule helped Wolverhampton Development beat Wednesfield.
In the Premier Division a hat trick from Nick Hadley and goals from Jack Smith and Andrew Aiton helped Pelsall Villa beat Wednesbury Town with Shane Maydew bagging a brace in reply.
In the First Division a brace from Dan Coles and goals from Oliver Wagstaff, Luke Owen, Sanjay Hemmings and Matt Conroy helped leaders Sedgley Town beat Punjab United. In the second division goals from Jon Guest and Joshua Millard helped Sedgley Alliance Swifts beat stable mates Sedgley Alliance Colts.
The defeat means the Colts have to rely on Windsor and Parkes Hall both dropping points in their last league games if they are to retain second spot and promotion.
Parkes Hall kept their hopes of silverware alive when they beat Hill Top Rangers by the odd goal in five courtesy of goals from Stuart Evans, Ben Marsh and Steve Whitehouse with Josh Ward and Dan Hopson replying.
Parkes Hall entertain Sedgley Alliance Swifts in their last league game while Windsor visit bottom club Bentley Youth.
In the Third Division leaders Beechdale Swifts were held to a draw by Wednesbury Sports Union with goals from Darren New, Darryl Richards and Alex Keay for the Swifts matched by strikes form Liam Rutter, Daniel Johnson and Marcus Moreton for the visitors while a hat trick from Jonathon Cliffte and a strike from Kristian Barnett helped Stowlawn Youth beat Sedgley Rovers and goals from Matt Crook, Ryan Speakman, Ryan Phillpott, Tobias Bell, Greg Cornes and Jaz Bassi helped J.M. United beat Image Wheels Kestrals with Matthew Nicklin replying.
Under 17s – A brace from Talbot and a strike from Till helped Wednesbury Sports Union beat AFC Wombourne in the first round of the First Division Charity Cup with Buckland replying while three goals apiece from Aston and Wakeman and one each from Powell and Gibbons helped Bustleholme beat Park Hill Boys ’07 in the first round of the Premier Division Charity Cup with Wall replying and in the group stages of the Presidents Cup it was honours even when Parkes Hall Lions entertained Parkside Rangers with Bushell and Khachidze on target for the Lions and Craddock and Beckett for the Rangers.
In the Premier Division goals from Pickard, Parks and Read helped Argyle A.F.C. beat second placed Willenhall Youth with Ellis replying while two goals from Bannister and one each from Pedley, Nicklin and Smith helped leaders Swinmoor beat Park Hill Boys.
