Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Cooper hits 40 Mark
Saturday 16th February 2008, 2:42PM GMT.
This game was played on a ground that was rock hard from the frost and should have been abandoned but the game went ahead.
The ref said that he would review the pitch after 20mins by that time the cheesemen where 0-4 up with goals from Mark Cooper 3 and Carl Rogers 1.
As the Ashmore dominated the first half hours play with an outstanding display of goalscoring from Cooper whom went on to score five that has taken him to 41 goals so far this season and with Tony Brown getting one after his lay off with injury the final score was 2-7 to the Ashmore.
Not a lot Ashmoreonians made the trek across town to winder avenue and who could blame them on a cold and ice morning but the handful or so diehards that came seem to enjoy what was on offer with good football been played from both teams once again as last week Penn tried the strong arm tactics as have the last two teams to play the Ashmore.
But they never learn this is not a team of lighweights this is an Ashmore team that echoes the way their Manager played and anyone who remembers the way Padir Brewster played will know what he expects from his players.
If you take on one you take on all 11 players that’s how much this team has bonded this season as Penn found out when they tried to kick the Cheesemen off the park.
After the game manager Padir Brewster said: “If teams want to kick us that’s fine by me but they should not start crying when the beast bites back.”
He went on to say that Mark Cooper was one of the best goalscorers he had ever worked with.
Next week the Ash go to Womboune to play in the semi-final
Team Cooke 7 Healy 7 Brannon 8 Rickhuss 8 Pugh 6 Mincher 7 Onions 8 Hale 7 Rogers 7 Brown 7 Cooper 9 Subs D. Cooper 6 Ryan 6 A. Cartwright 6.
