16.53: It’s all over and Wolves woes continue.
16.45; Finally a chance for Wolves but Eastwood heads a presentable opportunity wide.
16.43: Even wolfie2468 is losing faith. He says: “I’m not going to join the MM out brigade as I don’t believe in supporters forcing out a manager but if we lose or even draw on Tuesday now, I think that is it.”
16.41: Just to let you know Albion are FIVE up at Coventry, can it get any worse for Wolves fans. That means the Black Country derby willl move to midweek.
16.33: Gibson and Bothroyd both go into the book as the game drifts away from Wolves.
16.28: A “nightmare” is Swain’s view of the action so far this afternoon.
16.24: Wolves still awaiting their first shot on target of the afternoon with 25 minutes to go.
16.19: MM brings on Gibson and Elliott for Kyle and Foley.
16.17: More bad news, Ipswich are winning in the league, opening up quite a gap to the final play-off place.
16.12: Parry again gets through and Hennessey again saves well. The Welsh keeper is keeping Wolves just about alive.
16.05: Kyle almost gets in straight away but at the other end the Wolves defence is cut open again and Parry forces a save from Hennessey.
15.45: Half time and it can only get better – Wolves have four strikers on the pitch for the second half.
15.42: Wolves enjoying plenty of the ball but they have not had a shot in anger in the first 45 minutes.
15.40: Still no sign of a Wolves resurgence but a shock change with Eastwood coming on for Olofinjana – swift action from McCarthy.
15.34: Wolves have switched it around with Bothroyd moving out wide and Keogh supporting Kyle but it is not making a difference so far.
15.32: The comments are flying in, so far we have had no-one in support of MM. If you are out there – and brave enough – post below!
15.29: Wolves are failing to create anything in attack, they are having plenty of possession but offering little cutting edge.

For several reasons I have previously advocated keeping MM until the end of the season at least, but I am now firmly on the ‘McCarthy Out’ bandwagon after this horror show. I cannot believe we can so meekly surrender a potential place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. McCarthy’s team selection is a disgrace… sickening.

What a wonderful start to a game but perhaps we should be grateful that it took Cardiff a little longer than it did Watford to score against us ! We may as well start writing the quotes now….’ we can concentrate on the league now ‘ ,

Troops, anyone else had the idea we might take from the Sheff Utd fans! It worked for them, absolutely hate the idea of picketing in front of God’s ground but if that is what it takes to find a manager whom is not in love with Sunderland and Donkey Bothroyd. Must say I am dead against the idea of frequent changes in management but I have to concede that we are hopeless at the moment! I think the cup may well have been Mick’s last chance. We do not really seem to have moved any farther forward than we were under Hoddle and that is not really acceptable. We seem to have some great players on board but we just seem clueless, some bizarre decisions from MM over recent weeks well if i’m honest all season!!!!

I try to be as optomistic as I can but I’m very disappointed with today. I’m not going to join the MM out brigade as I don’t believe in supporters forcing out a manager but if we lose or even draw on Tuesday now, I think that is it. My view is that Ollie and Henry should compete for the same spot – a battling defensive central midfielder position, we wont score enough if we keep playing them together as shown by the last 2 seasons!!

Cannot believe this. I am Micks biggest fan, but I am considerably fed up with this. You never thought MM would put a passionless team out but he has! Absolutely Rubbish! Why on earth hasnt he started Jay & Keogh up front?? The combination that worked in the last round. He has stuck with Kyle, who just doesnt suit our sort of football. Olofinjana has no bottle, nor Potter and Gibson. This is beyond a joke, Mich has to sort this lot out. Passion is difficult to regain, its confidence we are lacking. No SEB, Edwards, Elokobi or Jarvis but that is NO excuse!!! Throws Craddock in to the mix with no games under his belt and we have struggled to cope!

During company takeovers every member of staff is safe for 3 months but after that anyone can be sacked on reasonable business grounds…I think there are reasonable grounds here. NO.81 Totally agree I think thats been the problem for years we swap and change managers but for some odd reason we always keep the same backroom staff, I must assume this was out of loyalty concerning Sir Jack, so I would now assume this will no longer happen with a new owner in the mixer. A lot of people have thought that MM should have gone a while back now and a lot of people have cried for Incey to come here. To be perfectly honest I can’t see Ince coming to Wolves until next season. Look at it this way he has a team at the top of the league (granted a lower league)so say if he leaves there and comes here now and achieves nothing. It isn’t really going to look good on his cv is it. Then again if he takes the Dons up then leaves and comes to Wolves it will look a damm sight better. I think that’s what will happen to be honest so I think we will have to put up with this garbage until the end of the season.

Its no good protesting at the game.
The only way to do it is to stay away.That will show them that enough is enough. I do think SM will sort it out in time and the manager will be changed.

Listened to the game on BBC Radio Wales. Full of praise for the number of times young Wayne kept the score down (again) and for effort from Eastwood but few other positives.
What said it all was that even the Taffs were baffled by the tactics and line up from MM (join the club mate). How can he use Bothroyd as a left winger they asked, why is he playing 4 strikers together they asked. We know why, he has totally lost the plot and it is an insult to fans that this man will be in charge come Tuesday night.Tonights rant at the Radio 5 interviewer who questioned him on his future was classic. On a personal note im not too fussed about the fa cup as the league is our priority..however,I cant defend our teams performance today, it was truly not good enough by any standards.
I cant blame mick totally though for the display.
He couldnt pick his strongest team as we know, so his hands were tied regarding selection.
Its about time the players took responsibility for their performances, yes i know some are youngsters but at some point theyve got to shoulder the blame.
Regarding the Freddy eastwood debate…. well he got his chance today, not as a 5 minute sub as he was on the pitch after 40 mins.
He did ok, wasnt brilliant and he failed to score…. Nuff said.
Im a realist, far from fickle and love our footy team.
I just wish some of our fans would come down from their ivory towers, get real, lose the arrogance and support the club no matter what.
The harsh reality is we are what we are because thats where we are as a club at this moment in wolves history.
We are a decent developing championship team/club with a young squad for the future that is vying and trying to end the season in a top six position.
That aim is still a genuine possibility if im not wrong.

Having said I think Mick should be sacked, I don’t think he will untill the end of the season. A part of me wants to see weather Mick can improve things over the next few games anyway, because if they don’t you have to wonder what they do in training all week? Why can’t they just put a winning performance together, they managed it most games last year and this year has been dire, what is that all about? Another thing where I have questions is how can McCarthy win this league with Sunderland and not with Wolves? has he become a worse manager with more experience and more money? Why does nobody see the true picture. Since Taff Evans has been unable to carry on we have yet again been landed with Connor. Did anybody who went to the match watch the “warm up”. Bags of running around but only a few minutes with the ball. No wonder we can’t pass or control the ball it’s all in the coaching. Wake up to what and who is the real culprit!!

Some people keep saying keep the faith, but there is only so long that some people can be patient. Ive wanted to back McCarthy for months now, and after the excellent job he did last season, i didnt want to get on his back. I havent seen us play well now since the Albion game in November, and thats not good enough. Two wins in THIRTEEN league matches is diabolical. The team selections are becoming a joke now, and no team is being picked on merit. He still picks his favourites and if he cant see that the likes of Ward, Olofinjana, Henry and Kyle are just not good enough then the man is clueless.
If we dont win on Tuesday, he HAS TO GO. There is no other way around it. Sorry Mick, but even Glenn Hoddle wasnt this bad in his second season, and that says a lot. If you got sacked tomorrow i would be glad, and after last season, that pains me to say that.

Anyone could see that by picking two ageing players that are coming from months on the sidlines – and then playing them together at centre back – is a disaster waiting to happen. Add to that a spine that sees Potter and Olifinjana ( no games for Wolves 1st X1 in the last month between them ) and Kyle who s woefully lacking in confidence !! Thats half the bloody team Mick – how the hell did you expect to win ? You have lost the plot – go now before your stubborn streak takes us to irrepairable damage !!

Comments on this or any other football forum doesnt make any difference whatsoever and by the way we dont boo the players or the manager at games either – so whats the reason now?
Last season has come and gone – and now MM is struggling badly to sort out the team – as its now his squad and he can no longer rely on what Hoddle did or didnt do – He has admitted that he hasnt got a clue (and if the manager hasnt got a clue – who has?) and allowed TC to let the players warn down infront of the Wolves away crowd amidst the chants of “You’re not fit to wear the shirt!” – Funny thing is he didnt go over and take any stick did he? Wonder why???
Its easy to say its because of comments etc etc – BUT MM chose these players and he dictates tactics and everything else leading up to each game – theres nowhere to hide anymore for MM TC or JM – Its time for a positive change!

207AdiBaker – yes Freddy got his chance on Saturday and if you were at the game you would have seen that he was Wolves best forward player by a mile.
223Mick – Kyle is not lacking in confidence, what we have seen from him in the last three matches is him at his best. Don’t forget he has been playing professional football since 2000 and has scored a total of 17 goals.
There are only three strikers worth considering for selection thats Ebanks Blake, Eastwood and Keogh. Unfortunately Keogh recently got 4 goals in 5 games so inevitably under this manager he was quickly removed to the wing.
As for the defence, lots of people have been waiting for the return of Breen and Craddock. Well in my opinion Breen hasn’t had a good performance since November 2006 and his legs have long since gone. We should have got someone in for centre back in Jan but instead we signed Kyle.

I think MM is one game away from picking up Jobseekers allowance! Lose tomorrow against Scunthorpe and I reckon come the end of the week he will be out! Fed up with it all now! Haven’t felt this bad since the bad old days of the Bhatti brothers!

207 adi baker – you ARE wrong to say that a “top six position” is “still a genuine possibility”. To achieve a top six position we would require at least 9 wins from the remaining 14 games. We have won only 2 more than that (11) in the 34 games already played.

I don’t like to see the sacking of managers. I’m a fond beliver in building for the long term. Sometimes the blame has to lie at the feet of the players. We can all talk about the lack of creativity and flair, But we’re no man utd. Whats really disappointing is the manner of the defeat.No concentrattion, determination or work rate…..
