Lane Head opened the scoring with a thunderbolt from Chelsea Main on the wing, Shire Oak were awarded a penalty for hand ball which was saved easily by Alice Stubbs.
Lane Head fell asleep and allowed Lauren Keen to equalise for Saints.
Saints had a few shots on target either cleared by Paige Harrison or saved by Alice.
A goal mouth scramble ended in another goal for Lane Head scored by Paige.
Half Time score 2-1
Second half Saints came out more determined hitting the bar and some cracking saves by Alice prevented them from equalising.
Lane Head scored against the run of play with another goal from Chelsea Main, Lane Head could have had another couple.
Emily Butler and Sarah Rhodes were cracking in defence although a late onslaught from Shire Oak resulted in a consolation goal for them from Lauren Keen.
Full time score 3-2.
