Villa waiting on work permit

Thursday 31st January 2008, 11:15AM GMT.

Aston Villa manager Martin O'NeillVilla were today confident of gaining the work permit to complete the £2million signing of MSL-based keeper Brad Guzan.

Guzan is poised to become the second transfer window signing after the capture of £1.5m Wayne Routledge.

Martin O’Neill is not finished yet however as he continues to pursue an interest in Spurs midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, while being more cool about speculation linking him with a third White Hart Lane man, Pascal Chimbonda.
