Droylsden 1 Harriers 0
Saturday 26th January 2008, 3:11PM GMT.
Kidderminster Harriers turned in their worst performance of the season as they lost at basement side Droylsden to Jody Banim’s 15th minute strike.
Harriers were slow to start and found themselves a goal behind. Ged Murphy played a ball out to Ashley Burbeary on the left and, as Harriers’ defence retreated, the crossfield ball found Banim 30 yards out.
Droylsden’s leading marksman wasted little time in bringing the ball forward and unleashing a 20-yard drive past Scott Bevan.
Harriers were again guilty of giving the ball away cheaply with the lively Banim forcing a save from Bevan and only the alertness of the Harriers keeper denied McGuire.
Five minutes before the break Alex Jeannin fired an angled volley inches wide.
Harriers skipper Stuart Whitehead wasted their best chance when he headed Jeannin’s free kick wide of the goal.
