Albion keeper signs extension

Monday 21st January 2008, 3:24PM GMT.

wd2234252albion-15-dh-13.jpgAlbion keeper Dean Kiely today agreed a one-year contract extension at The Hawthorns.

Kiely has agreed a deal to keep him at the club until June 2009.

The 37-year-old has been the club’s first choice keeper for the last season-and-a-half and recently reiterated his desire to play on into his 40s.

Great news – I’m a huge deanno fan. Yes he makes mistakes, but show me a keeper who dosn’t.

Even the wolves superstar Hennesey has let the ball go through him at least twice this season – and they reckon he’s worth £10M (and look at the lad at Sunderland who DID cost £10M)

Deanno’s experience will be vital to us – and to our two young back-up keepers.

However, like Super kev, i’m sure TM is looking at next season and planning accordingly.

Glad he has got another deal though – he deserves it !

That’s one sewn up. Still need a decent back up to take over at the end of next year.

Now, let’s get Albrechsten, Gera and Phillips to extend, Bednar and Miller signed up plus an experienced centre half to bring the youngsters on.

Need someone to put him under pressure but yes, a great signing, tremendous professional. wolvesfan1. Yes we do concede a few but if your back eight ever cross the halfway line so might you. Oh sorry you do, don’t you.

He should be signing for his pension rather than a contract extension!!!!

For once the wolvesfan1 is not too wide of the mark (unlike Keogh)- Kiely’s a liability (Godden reincarnated & he cost us in 79)… For crying out loud Peace sign Danek…

    (3) I agree, TM has made a squad full of shocking signings. Wish we could swop them for your line up…….or we might just tough it out at the top instead eh?
