Kidderminster manager Mark Yates today challenged his side to revive their FA Trophy magic when they take on Weymouth tonight in a re-arranged Aggborough clash.

Harriers reached the Wembley final of last year’s Trophy, losing to Stevenage Borough after leading 2-0.

The adventure galvanised the town behind the club as they headed to their fourth FA Trophy final and Yates has called on his players for a repeat this season.

He said: “We had a taste last season of what a good trophy run can do for a club and we want more of the same this season.

“We will send the players out determined to progress in the competition.

“Weymouth will be equally determined to beat us and give themselves a run in the Trophy but we are in a pretty decent run of form so we just have to worry about getting our own performance levels right.”

Yates is waiting for news of on-loan Dean Bennett, who has been struggling since the weekend with illness. He otherwise has a fully-fit squad for tonight’s second-round clash.

And there are no worries about the Aggborough pitch after last week’s postponement. Yates said: “There was a lot of standing water last week but there are no doubts about tonight.

“We have a fantastic pitch, as good as many in the Premier League.”
