As we approach the end of the Autumn League campaign it’s still very tight at the top of the table.
A brace apiece from James Birks and Kian Dywer and goals from Jack Rowson and Gianni Boparon helped leaders F.C. Strollers beat Stone Cross Tigers to round off their autumn league campaign in style while second placed Bentley Youth, who need to take just one point from their final league game if they are to pip Strollers to the title beat Stone Cross Tigers with a brace from Josh Toye and goals from Harry Shaw and Jake Powers.
After the first round of fixtures in the Spring League Vic Market Tigers and All Saints Juniors currently lead the way after a brace from Reece Simmonds and goals from Josh Walters and Liam Jones helped the Tigers beat Stone Cross Lions with Aiden Saunderson replying while goals from Brendan Downes and Joseph Hall helped All Saints beat newcomers F.C. Perton with Jack Whistance replying.
Vic Market Tigers and All Saints then shared the spoils with Brandon Downes strike for All Saints cancelled out by a goal from Ben Giggs for the Tigers. F.C.
Perton rounded off their first session in the Bilston League with a victory over Stone Cross Lions courtesy of goals from Jordan Williams, Jordan Astbury and Nathan Sangha.
The league’s other new team, On the Ball Academy, were faced with a baptism of fire, their opening two games being against the league’s top tow sides Bentley Youth and F.C. Strollers.
Although the youngster acquitted themselves very well and showed that they could be a force to be reckoned with next term they found the obvious ability of the top two sides a step too far.
In their first game against F.C Strollers they went down to a brace from Ben Mansell and goals from Gianni Boparon, Kian Dywer and Akiel Beckett-Blair while in their second games against Bentley Youth a spirited performance saw them take the lead but Bentley eventually took control and hat tricks from Jake Powers and Jack Adams, a brace apiece from Ryan Allmark and Harry Shaw and a strike from Josh Toye saw them take all three points with Joel Waite and Ben Barker on target for the newcomers.
Under 11s
The final of the Adrian Anslow (League) Cup will be contested by Willenhall Town Colts and Rowley Rangers after Willenhall overcame Tipton Olympic 5-2 and Rowley became the first side to inflict a defeat on Wednesfield Colts.
A thrilling encounter saw Aaron Weston open the scoring for Rowley only for Nyle Bernard to equalise for the visitors.
Ellis Probert restored Rowley’s advantage just before the break and Lewis Probert extended their lead early in the second half with a 20 yard rocket. Wednesfield rallied again add a strike from Callum Wood reduced the deficit in the last minute but despite further pressure they weren’t able to find an equaliser.
In the Premier Division goals from Maydew, Wayne and Wootten helped Bilbrook Juniors (Celtic) beat Finchfield to open their spring league account with Besenyei replying for the visitors while Hill Top Rangers opened their spring league account with a 5-2 victory over Willenhall Town Reds.
In the First Division four goals from Edwards, two from Burgess and one each from Morris and Tudor helped FC Strollers beat Perton and Codsall United while Warstones Wanderers North beat East Park Phoenix 2-0 and Wallbrook United beat Dudley Town by the odd goal in three.
Under 12s
F.C Perton will face Bilbrook Juniors (West) in the Premier Division Cup Final after they beat Sedgley White Lions with a hat trick from Luke Mosley, a brace from Luke Woodman and a strike from Nathen Reed while Elliot Simpson netted both goals as Bilbrook beat F.C. Strollers to book their place in the final.
A brace from Ryan Carter and goals from Leon Carter and Liam Jolormi helped Prestwood Rangers to an odd goal in seven victory at Warstones Wanderers (Lions) in the First Round of the First Division Charity Cup with Akeem McKetey-Salmon, Bradley Hines and Adam Daniels replying while two goals apiece from Lyall Bagshaw and Vinnie Dass and one from Matthew Frost helped Windsor beat F.C. Strollers (Lions).
In the Premier Division two goals apiece from Kristian Parker and Joshua Garbett and one each from Charlie Arnold and Jack Cox helped Willenhall Town beat Moorcroft Raiders and in the Spring Shield goals from Joshua Smith, James Caswell and Thomas Heath helped second division Coven United to an excellent victory at first division Finchfield with Chetan Bains and Lewis Reily replying.
Under 13s
The Premier Division Cup Final will be between Warley Vipers and Willenhall Town after a hat trick from Ryan Downing and goals from Mitchell Harris and Daniel Edmonson-Griffiths helped Willenhall beat Eurofast, with Charlie Turner replying and goals from Ryan Long and Callum Williams helped Warley beat Himley Colts.
Second Division leaders Bustleholme booked their place in their Divisional Cup final but they needed a penalty shoot out to overcome Sedgley White Lions.
An exciting match between the unbeaten Bustleholme and a Sedgley White Lions buoyed by their previous week’s big win saw end to end action but no goals at the end of normal time.
Extra time saw no change in the situation so the penalties started, the score after the first five saw both teams level pegging at 3.
The sudden death penalties were matched like for like goals and saves until each team had taken ten penalties and the score was level at six goals each until Bustleholme’s keeper Anthony Maddock saved his opposite number’s penalty leaving it all to Bustleholme’s last man Dray Orgill who calmly drove the ball into the net to take his team into the final.
In the Premier Division stable mates Bustleholme Blades recoded a rare but well deserved victory with a brace from Jack Adams and a strike from Reece Bowen helping them beat Moorcroft Raiders with Ashley Edmunds replying.
In the First Division four goals from Andre Evans, two from Adam Johnson and one from Nathan Marshall helped All Saints beat Perton & Codsall United with Dan Goodall, with two and Nick Skillern replying while a hat trick from Klodian Beqa and goals from Michael Barber, Erik Kucerak and Fabian Facey helped leaders Warstones Wanderers South beat new boys Bentley Community with Rakem Reid replying.
Under 14s
Tipton Athletic beat Windsor 1-0 to book their place in final of the Second Division Cup where they will face Coopers Casuals while in the David Taylor (League) Cup premiership leaders Hill Top Rangers beat first division Warstones Wanderers South 7-0. Premier Division league action saw Wolverhampton Development beat Tettenhall Wood 4-2 while in the First Division Jack Benton, Tyrel Walker and Adam Harris helped FC Perton beat Tipton Olympic with Chris Price replying and in the second division two goals apiece from Williams and Saxon and one each from Louis and Heidari helped leaders Stone Cross beat Moorcroft Raiders.
Under 15s
Goals from Lane and Foley helped Second Division Bilbrook Juniors (North Star) race to a two goal lead at premiership outfit Carlisle Swifts in the second round of the Chris Lees (League) Cup but a brace from Simmons and goals from Moore and O’Dell saw the Swifts through to the next round while in the all premiership tie a brace from Joesbury and a strike from Howells helped Beechdale Swifts beat Parkes Hall with Tibbins replying.
In the third round hat tricks from Paul Sullivan and Ryan Timmings, a brace apiece from Sam Plimmer and Liam Pickering and goals from Matt Barnett, Sam Cunningham and Mitchell Hale helped premiership outfit Willenhall Town Swifts beat first division Featherstone R.W.B. with Sean Carroll bagging all three goals in reply while two goals from Chad Nicholls and one from Danny Lewis helped stable mates Willenhall Town Tigers overcome Trysull Tigers and a brace from McDonald and goals from Wilson, Perdy and Chambers helped premiership leaders Finchfield beat Wolverhampton Development with Watson, with a brace, and Langford replying while four goals from Wood and goals from Carter and Randhawa helped First Division leaders Springvale beat second division outfit Sedgley White Lions.
League action in the First Division saw goals from Caten, Linch, Goodhead and Northall helped FC Perton beat local rivals Perton and Codsall United in a seven goal thrillers with Newman, with a brace, and O Hagen replying.
Under 16s
There was success for both of the league’s teams in the fourth round of the prestigious B’ham County F.A. Minor Cup although Bustleholme had to rely on a penalty shoot out to overcome Colron Boys after goals from Richard Hooper and Chris Hollis had helped Bustleholme take their hosts to extra time and penalties while goals from Harvinder Mandair, Liam Smith and Seb Craven helped Tipton Town to a comfortable victory over Wombourne Olympic.
Goals from Kyle Haden, Kevin Ward and Jamie Whittaker helped Hill Top Rangers Colts beat Moxley Rangers to book their place in the final of the First Division Cup where they will face Willenhall Town Colts while Willenhall Town Colts also progressed to the third round of the Wednesbury Junior (League) Cup after they beat first division leaders Sedgley Town in the all first division tie.
It was typical cup tie on a heavy pitch but the Colts went 2-0 up with 2 goals from Ashley Wiley.
Sedgley pulled one back just before half time through Dan Coles and equalised midway thru the second half when Coles notched his second.
After a goalless extra time it went to penalties with the Colts keeper Jamie Holdcroft the hero with 3 great penalty saves.
In the other second round tie to beat the weather four goals from Danny Ryman, three from Danny Davies and one each from James Clee and Stefan Samuals helped premiership outfit Lyng Falcons beat third division Wednesbury Sports Union with Luke Panayi replying.
In the Premier Division goals from Nick Hadley, Callum Griffiths, Ryan Wilkins and Paul Finn helped Pelsall Villa beat Willenhall Town Swifts to close the gap on leaders Tipton Town with Ashley Dicken on the score sheet for the Swifts.
In the Second Division goals from Daniel Clarke and Mark Fawdry helped Windsor to a share of the spoils at leaders Walsall Town with Chad Masters and Lewis Hylton replying while five goals from Jamie Tomlinson and one each from Dan Unit and Ross Oakley helped second placed Sedgley Alliance Colts beat Hill Top Rangers to close the gap on the leaders with Josh Ward, with two and Dan Hopson replying.
With Wednesbury Sports Union involved in League Cup action Aldersley and Beechdale Swifts took the opportunity to move above them into the top two spots in the Third Division.
A brace from Connor Forrester and goals from James Newell and Dan Brassington helped Aldersley beat Darlaston Town by the odd goal in seven with Byron Millington, with two, and Martin Taylor replying to move to take a one point lead at the top of the table while a brace from Alex Keay and goals from Darren New, Luke Pritchard, Rhys Jessop and Jason Payne helped Beechdale beat Sedgley Rovers to move into second spot, level on points with Wednesbury.
Under 17s
A close contest saw Castle Youth beat Willenhall Youth to book their place in the Premier Division Cup final where they will face Swinmoor Rangers.
Forrest and Fellows were on target for Castle with James replying for the visitors. In the group stages of the Presidents Cup two goals from Richards and one each from Edwards, Smith, Merrick and Blagrove helped premiership leaders Swinmoor beat first division Wyrley Juniors with Coke and Gordon replying while a hat trick from Idiome and goals from Bushell and Perks helped first division Parkes Hall Lions beat premiership Park Hill Boys ’07 with Phipps and Wall replying while goals from Evans and Beckett helped first division F.C. Perton Pumas to a share of the spoils at premiership outfit Park Hill Boys with Morris and Young replying.
