in response to 8. if he is not good enough for you, the sell on clause is irrelevant, as he will be going nowhere near the premiership!
As for our rumours – sharp and platt no!
I reckon if you give Eastwood a run of 6 or 8 games he will score 3 or 4. I might be wrong, but if you can score 15 for Southend – who were relegated – there is something there.
I also agree with someone yesterday. Liam Hughes might be worth a go, as he can’t do any worse.
The creation has not been there. But I was at Plymouth, 17 corners to 1 and all over them. Yet will still could only score 1!

The more important issue is getting Big Sam down the wolves. He comes from Dudley and Supports the Wolves. Ireland want Mick, Wolves want Allardyce and ask him to bring his old mmate sammy lee as assistant. I honestly think if we captured these two they could be Wolves legends. Steve Morgan would like it too, he can speak liverpudlian to Sammy Lee.
I still appreciate Mick but he keeps slagging me off (the fans) passing blame to us for booing the Keogh decision. So go to Ireland and get Big ‘n’ Little Sam down the Molineux!!!!!

I came across this on the BBC Website from 2001..

    Q&A: Bolton boss Sam Allardyce

It’s rumoured that you’re a Wolves fan. If so, would you consider managing the club one day?

Having signed a ten-year contract it would have to be after that. As much as I liked Wolves as a boy and it was a childhood dream to play and perhaps manage for the club, I’ve come to Bolton and this is where I want to stay.

Happy Baggie. U can b happy with your goalscoring and midfield. Not so with defeats against Stoke, Coventry and Ipswich and your poor defence. Chaplow would not get a sniff in our team!
If MM sorts out the forward line and with Seyi away and Henry suspended, he has a chance to change the midfield, with the tighest defence in the division by 4 goals, have an opportunity to put a run together like last season.
It is not all doom and gloom. Look who’s top with the Tescos and Watford – Bristol City. Surely the biggest club in the division, can put these teams in our sights!

Allardyce and Bolton have had some very exciting times over the last few years, would you not enjoy seeing European Football again or see Wolves in the top six of the Premiership?

Allardyce will not offer the same football as McCarthy, it will not be the tame insipid variety on offer at the moment.

Remember back to the start of the season when Ococha came along to give the midfield a lesson, is that the type of boring long ball you are afraid of?

You have to kick your way up and kick to stay up once we have done that and we have the millions in the bank then I too would love to watch flamboyant football.

Until then I think he would be an excellent manager and a big enough ‘name’ to attract better quality players, certainly better than the average players that we have right now.

Wolves need to compete and stop with the make weights that have plagued us for years.

As for all the other names you mention, only Taylor I think was the one that we should have kept hold of. Check back on your Millwall history and you will find McCarthy cocked that up too!

Wolves have nearly always been a long ball team, and as hard as nails. Over the years they have dished up really exciting football. I don’t know where you get this nonsense about ‘creative’ football from because at this level it doesn’t often exist, Hoddle tried it but the players weren’t good enough to pull it off.

i haven’t seen anyone we’ve been linked with that i’ve though wow!! and to be honest the way the team plays with our tactics what striker would make a difference.

i thought eatwood would be brilliant at wolves and the main reason he is not is down to mick and his tactics and formations and also not strengthening midfield over the summer.

we need to move on bothroyd, elliot, s ward. and sorry to say if keogh doesn’t improve he must go too.

we need quality in midfield. and why are our homegrown youngsters not given a chance here? davies, little, gobern and scots u21 mulgrew.

billy sharp good goalscorer with keogh at scunnie but would he produce here. maybe mick would like to combine sharp and elliot and we’d end up with billy elliot at least he could dance round defenders.!!!!

hiya mate nice to see you,ve learnt some Latviesu valoda! Are you really Latvian like me or have you picked up a Latvian/English dictionary from the libraray? I see we,ve signed Ebanks -Blake from Plymouth, wonder how long it will take for McCarthy to demoralise him as he has all our other strikers, Poor Sod don,t know what he,s let himself in for does he!!!?

The Real Bully, allo my Boggie mate, I didn,t see that post about Pele the other day as I had to have this naff computer repaired, my 98 year old grandmother could do better up front than any of these so called strikers of ours! she used to beat the $hit out of me when I was a kid and I bet she could still beat the hell out of opposing defenders now!!!LOL
