Peter Darby, Tom Butler, Jim Kelly, Dennis Lucas and Alan Richards were all in fine form for the Railway men.

Moving into second place are Bushbury WMC after 3-2 home win against Fordhouses.

Tony Grant and Tom Maddocks put Fordhouses two frames up only for Cyril Hares, Gerald Banks and Steve Tierney to win the match for Bushbury.

Forty Four Club B lost ground as they were thrashed 5-0 away to Darlaston Cons, Peter Stanley, John Bunn, Les Pass, Len Rock and Stewart James(30) all won for Darlaston.
