A shortened day saw both the final matches in the Autumn League, as well as a set of group fixtures in the Charity Cup.
In the West Division of the Autumn League Rowley Rangers’ 2–1 victory over St Joseph’s Colts saw them pip Tipton Olympic to third place on goal difference.
Dominic Taylor and Daniel Dudley were the scorers who took Rowley’s season total to 22, the same as Tipton’s.
Unfortunately, Tipton had conceded just one more goal – so it couldn’t have been closer.
Richard Peters was on target for St Joseph’s, to make it a very close run thing.
In the South Division Wednesfield were already assured of the league championship, and duly completed their season with a 4–0 win over FC Perton. James O’Malley scored a brace, with a solo effort from Robert Baker and an own goal.
Perton then completed their fixtures with a 1–1 draw against Coven United. Jack Hague scored for Coven, with Aaron David Green netting for Perton. In the Charity Cup Perton and Codsall West head Group A after their 1–0 victory over New Park Village.
Oliver Lake scored the only goal of the game. In the same group Wednesfield ran out comfortable 5–0 winners over Smethwick Sikh Temple, with nearly half the squad on the score sheet – Jamie Goodwin, Connor Seymore, Kane Matthews, James O’Malley and Todd Brindle.
The result takes them up to third place in the Group, with all the teams having just 2 matches to play next week. In Group B Wolverhampton Development Pumas take over second spot after their 1 – 0 win against Rowley Rangers.
Jack Richards got the goal which sees his team go above Perton and Codsall East – but only goal difference separates the two challengers.
In Group D a hat trick from Jack Hague, a brace from Nathan Sharples and goals from Oliver Thompson and Ciaran Singh saw Coven United Colts take top spot in the group, and guarantee themselves a cup final place. Delmaro Channer pulled a goal back for brave Bustleholme.
