Gabriel Agbonlahor insisted Villa can qualify for Europe after beating Tottenham.

Victory over Spurs sent Villa soaring to sixth and just a point off the Champions League places.

Agbonlahor said: “We’re sixth now and if we carry on playing the way we are, then we can definitely get into Europe.

“It was a big result because they looked really strong after coming from behind.

“Also because they’re one of the teams around us. It pushed us forwards and pushed them backwards a bit.

“It was really important to win at home again. Looking at our results, we’ve done well away.

“We started off the season doing really well at home, so if we can try to improve our home form, we’ll start pushing up the table.

“The crowd were great, especially the Holte End – you could hear them right through the game.”
