Dudley Sports enjoyed their first ever league victory against local rivals Tividale on Saturday.
The game opened up with Tividale having a lot of possession but not really hurting Sports in the last third.
Sports quickly found there feet and started to get behind the Tividale defence, this coursed the home team all sorts of problems especially with the pace of Cox Joshua, Raybone and Isherwood and it was Rayone who had the first real chance of the game skipping past the full back before hitting his shot low into the side netting.
Sports did open the scoring in the twentieth minute when Blakeley’s thru ball was collected at pace by Cox and he lifted the ball over the advancing Keeper for a great finish.
Sports then had one or two great chances to go further in front with the wind but some bad finishing and good goal keeping kept the scores down.
Tividale did have a great chance to level things up late in the first half but Chris Smith shot from inside the penalty area was well saved by Jay Trav in the Sports goal.

The second half saw Dudley Sports facing a strong wind and struggling to get out of there own half at times but they did always look dangerous on the break and from set pieces.
Tividale again passed the ball well but it kept breaking down in the last third time and time again, they did get a break thru though when Jordan Tipper was fouled on the edge of the area in the sixtieth minute and was awarded a direct free kick, the same player got up and smashed the ball into the roof of the net with Trav not able to get any were near it to level the scores.
The game could have gone either way now but Sports young team keep going and were awarded a free kick twenty yards out from goal for a foul on the lively Cox.
Grant Joshua then curled the ball up and over the wall into the corner of the net for what was a wonderful free kick against the wind.
Sports had to dig deep to see the game out but they did do thanks to some dogged defending and fine goal keeping by the man of the match Jay Trav.
