The hungry black cat has been sneaking tasty slices of turkey from under the nose of butcher Stephen Grove and his staff at S.T.D.N Meats Ltd, in Brierley Hill.

Mr Grove discovered the moggie was helping herself to the meat being prepared for Christmas dinners after catching the cat in the act.

Mr Grove said: “She’s pretty regular, and comes early in the morning around 7.30 to 8am. She likes turkey, so she’s getting ready for Christmas. She’s a beautiful cat, in prime condition – no wonder with all the meat she’s having free.

“We don’t know her name. Her collar just has a tag saying ‘scan me’, so we’ve called her Mr Jingles.”

The cat arrives at the unit on a daily basis and comes back up to three times a day for her treats.

Mr Grove added: “She is obviously well looked after and is someone’s pet from nearby. She’s been coming to the estate for a couple of months now and everyone looks out for her every day.”
