Man in train accident critical

A man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a train in Birmingham.
The 39-year-old man was injured at Curzon Street Station at 7.40pm last night.
He was then taken on to the train which hit him so he could be transported to waiting ambulances.
It is not yet known how the man came to be hit by the London-bound train, which was travelling at around 40mph.
He was taken to Heartlands Hospital.
This is the second incident involving a pedestrian being hit by a train in the space of just two days.
On Saturday a 47-year-old man was hit by a train in Rowley Regis after he leaned forward as it came into the platform, leaving him with severe head injuries.
The man, who is from Birmingham, was stood on the edge of the platform when he was hit by the London Midland Great Malvern to Shirley service at around 4pm.
He is currently in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
His condition is described as critical but stable.
