Under 11s
Although you wouldn’t have believed it from the conditions but Rowley Rangers kicked off their spring league premier division campaign with a victory at Willenhall Town Colts with goals from Probert and Weston while Bilbrook Juniors (Rangers) moved to the top of the First Division table with a 6-2 victory over Perton and Codsall United.
Under 12s
The only game to beat the conditions was in the Premier Division where FC Perton entertained a depleted Sedgley White Lions and Perton sealed a comfortable victory with a brace from Joshua Edwards and goals from Lewis Caton, Luke Moseley, Chris West, Luke Woodman, and Jack Simpson.
Under 13s
Wednesbury Oak Colts and All Star Harriers beat the conditions by reversing their First Division fixture and a close game saw goals from Thomas Edge and Keith Mitchell help the Harriers to a narrow victory with Laten Mitchell replying for the Colts.
Under 14s
A few more teams were able to beat the weather in the afternoon. In the Premier Division leaders Hill Top Rangers beat Darlaston Town with a brace from Reve Gardener and goals from Joshua Griffiths, Lee Harper and Luke Gibbs with Perry Godfrey replying while a hat trick from Preece and a strike from Rickards helped East Park Youth beat Willenhall Town Swifts while in the First Division Willenhall Town Colts beat F.C. Perton with goals from Lowe, Thiara and Boswell with Hoof replying for the visitors.
Under 15s
A close game in the First Division saw F.C. Perton come back from two goals down to beat Woodsetton.
The visitors opened up a two goal lead through Paul Ward and an own goal but Perton rallied and a brace from Aaron Northall and a goal from Tim Hanneman saw them take all here points.
Under 16s
A brace apiece from Nick Hadley and Paul Finn and goals from Joe Titley, Daniel Barnet, Ryan Wilkins and Andrew Ainton helped Pelsall Villa beat Willenhall Town Swifts and move above them into second place in the premier division.
Kieron Smith was on target for the Swifts while First Division leaders Sedgley Town beat Wolverhampton Development 4-1 and Willenhall Town Colts beat Moxley Rangers.
The Colts took the lead early on from Lee Turner but Moxley equalised through Rhuel Miah after a mix up in the Colts defence.
In the second half Rangers took the lead when Shuanui Islam converted a penalty but the Colts immediately struck back with a great finish from Tom Bartlett, then five minutes from time Dave Rickwood hoisted a long shot from 30 yards with the keeper off his line to take all three points for the Colts.
The top of the table clash in the Third Division saw Wednesbury Sports Union beat Aldersley to move above them into top spot courtesy of a hat trick from Sam Shinn and goals from Liam Rutter and Aaron Patel with Connor Forrester, with a brace, and Jamie Edwards on target for Aldersley while two goals apiece from Chris Barley and Darren New and one each from Luke Pritchard, Reece Jessop and Alex Keay helped Beechdale Swifts beat Darlaston Town and goals from Jack Jones and Andrew Dudley helped Stowlawn beat Image Wheels Kestrals.
Under 17s
In the Premier Division two goals from Hadley and one each from Foster, Forrest, Jones and Brown helped Castle Youth beat Argyle with Sidhu, Parkes and Aston replying while in the First Division goals from Sam Donovan, Ashley Armstrong and Joe Harvey helped Parkes Hall Lions to an odd goal in five victory over AFC Wombourne with Ben Tristrom and Bryn Johnson replying. F.C. Perton Pumas run in the Staffs County Youth Challenge Cup came to an abrupt end at Boley Park with Bradley Bolton on the score sheet for the Pumas.
