Simon Hickman and Aaron Dakin gave Kinver a great start and David Timmington and Andrew Highfield, on the black completed the victory, although Ryan Evans (55 break) earned a consolation frame.

Brierley Hill SC A proved much too strong for their B team and their 5-0 maximum lifted them two points clear at the top.

Norton Social A, courtesy of Kev Franklin, Chas Randle, Rob Pitt, Neil Rollinson and Colin Allport beat Stourbridge Institute A 5-0, and this second maximum in a row lifted them into third place, just a point ahead of Harts Hill Social, who beat Dibdale 4-1.

Lee Whitehouse, Mark Hatton, Ian Priest and Neil Gerrard won for Harts Hill, but Rob Skidmore made a break of 61 for Dibdale.

The highest break of the week was Pockets’ Ian Barnes effort of 66, although his team lost to Hot Shots.

There was no change at the top of the First Division with the joint leaders both celebrating 4-1 victories.

Kingswinford Cons A did well to win at Baggeridge B, thanks to Paul Marsh, Robin Hall, Ivor Jones and Roy Blewitt, while John Fellows won for the home team.

Stourbridge Institute B beat Langley Bowling Club, but Langley’s Alan Hadley preserved his unbeaten start.

Brierley Hill SC C continued their progress with their fifth successive 3-2 win coming at Kingswinford SC, with Daryl Garland winning the decider.

Kinver B’s Mick Hartshorne beat Amblecote RBL A’s Carl Williams, who suffered his first defeat. Colin Stevens-Wood won the decider to take Kinver third.

Amblecote Institute D stretched their lead in Second Division to 10 points with a 4-1 success at Stourbridge Institute D. Colin Lewis, Mike Richards and Andrew Guildford have lost only one frame all season.
