netball1.jpgWolverhampton City Netball League incorporated two Open Knock-Out quarter-finals into its League schedule this week.

Division 2 side Lucas went on the attack for the first 20 minutes against Division 1 rivals Whitmore X, who looked casual at first but then showed their normal speed and accuracy.

Whitmore’s Mandy Fellows and Vicky Rock provided quality shooting throughout and that was reflected in the scoreline with Whitmore X going through 27-12.

New team PHX, from Division 2, despite being a player short, just managed to grab a 27-25 win against Division 5 Chasetown B.

Superb shooting from Tracy Ash and Nicky Spittle gave Penn Outsiders the edge against Eurostars in Division 2, while in Division 4 Ice found their form from previous seasons and gave Silk a run for their money although Silk still managed a three goal win.

In Division 3, Roldec’s valiant fight could not crush the experienced attack of Wordsley Storks.
